Why does the increase in ceiling height in hospital wards allow for lifting the contaminants above the occupied zone?
Many researches demonstrate that increasing the ceiling height of naturally ventilated hospital wards can provide a better IAQ and allow for reducing the risk of infection transmission. It has been interpreted that increasing ceiling height increases temperature stratification which concentrates hot air above occupied space. But does anyone one the explanation of the same phenomenon regarding airborne particles and contaminants?download attachment add tag 2 0
